Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a widely used security method that introduces an additional verification step into the login process to help prevent account hacking attempts. As a company concerned with your online privacy and security, we highly recommend using 2FA to keep your Incogni account safe.
How to enable 2FA on your Incogni account
Incogni allows you to set up 2FA on your account via an authenticator application. We recommend Aegis Authenticator for Android and Raivo OTP for iOS devices. Both are free and open-source. To do so, follow these steps:

Log into your Incogni account.

Click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner, and select profile.

Select the two-factor authentication tab, and click on Enable 2FA.

A QR code and a code will appear on your screen. Scan the QR code using the authenticator app, or enter the code into your authenticator app.
In this guide, we'll showcase the example of using the Raivo OTP app, but the steps should be similar or almost identical to other authenticator apps.
In-app, select the Add or + icon.
Then, select your preferred method – Scan a QR code or Enter a setup key(enter the code manually):
Once done, a new authentication profile named incogni.com will appear automatically.

Press Next.

That's it, 2FA is now enabled on your Incogni account. In addition to the notification on screen, you will also receive an email confirming that 2FA is now enabled

Before finishing the setup, it is very important to save the recovery codes – you can use them to log back into your Incogni account in case you've lost access to your mobile device with the authenticator application.
We highly recommend downloading and saving these recovery codes in multiple secure locations and/or cloud storage.
Please note that these recovery codes are for one-time use only.

Once you're sure you've saved your 2FA recovery codes, click Done.
- Now, each time you wish to log into your Incogni account, you'll have to enter a code generated in your authenticator application.
