Yes, you can change your name in your Incogni user profile. Once you do this, Incogni will progressively start removing your new name from data brokers’ databases the next time removals are sent (note that this will not happen all at once, the timeline will vary from one database to another).
-> If you changed your last name recently, you don’t need to remove your previous name. Consider adding your new last name to the profile instead. This way, Incogni will keep removing your previous last name as well as the new one from data brokers’ databases.
Please note that while you can enter multiple last names (surnames) in your user profile, you can only have one first name and one middle name.
Here’s how to change your name in your Incogni profile:
- Log in to your Incogni account as usual.
- Click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner, a drop-down menu will appear.
- Select "profile."
- You’ll see the "personal & address information" tab.
- This is where you can edit your first name, middle name, and last name.
- Go to any of the fields and write the correct or new name there.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Apply changes.”
