Some of the data brokers respond to our requests on the same day, and some of them really do take their time to respond. Even though they need to comply with privacy laws like GDPR, PIPEDA, or CCPA, some data brokers do not rush to perform data removal within the provided time frame by law, so we follow up to see how to resolve the situation, but this can add additional time to confirm requests. So, you can see the average data removal time in your Dashboard for each data broker and their compliance score (which we calculated accordingly).
However, things don’t just stop there.
Data removal is an ongoing process because data brokers often get a hold of the same personal information that has already been deleted and gather more and more of it over time. Whenever you visit a website and accept cookies, use loyalty cards, or download apps, your data is collected and shared.
That’s why we continuously search for new data brokers that might have your information and regularly check back with the ones we’ve already dealt with to make sure your data stays off their databases.
We will send data removal progress reports to your email inbox, starting from the first initial data removal round once there are any updates. However, when your subscription expires, recurring data removal requests on your behalf will no longer be sent out to data brokers.
If you have any additional questions, please contact our Customer Support team which will get back to you within 24 hours via email at support@incogni.com.
