With Custom Removals, you can request removal of your personal information from websites where it appears online. This article walks you through two ways to submit removal requests: letting Incogni's automated scanner find your exposures, or manually submitting links you've discovered.
Remove personal data from scan results
Incogni scans the web continuously, surfacing sites that list your personal data. When we find profiles that match you, you can review them and choose which ones to remove. Here's how:
-
Log in to your Incogni account:
-
Click the Exposures tab in the top menu bar of your dashboard:
-
Click "Scanner results":
-
A prompt will suggest you to review our scanner results. Click "Select for custom removal":
-
Review the exposure results showing where your personal information appears online. Click “Remove me” on one or more exposures to submit them for custom removals:
-
Once submitted, all custom removal requests will appear in the scanner results tab, under "Custom Removals", where you can track their status:
-
You can also choose to click “Skip” if you don’t want to remove an entry, or “Not me” if an entry doesn’t belong to you:
-
Skipped profiles appear at the bottom of the scan results page, so you can come back and submit them for removal later if you change your mind:
Manually submit custom links for removal
Use this method if you’ve found your personal information on a website that isn’t already listed in your scan results.
Also learn how to locate your exposed personal information using advanced search.
-
Log in to your Incogni account:
-
Click the Exposures tab in the top menu bar of your dashboard:
-
Click "Scanner results":
-
Paste the full URL of the profile you want removed, then click “Submit”:
NOTE: To process your removal request, we need the full, exact URL of the page where your information appears, not just the domain name (e.g.,www.realtor.com). Please submit links to the exact page with your info, not search results or homepages. You can find more information in our YouTube video. -
Once submitted, all custom removal requests will appear in the scanner results tab, under "Custom Removals", where you can track their status:
What if scanner results are locked?
The Custom Removals feature, including access to scan results, is available only to subscribers on the Incogni Unlimited, Incogni Family Unlimited or Incongi Protect plan. If you’re on a different plan, the tab will appear locked.

FAQs about the Custom Removals feature
How many links can I submit?
You can submit as many links as you like. All your submissions will be added to your personal removal queue.
Why are only three of my requests "In progress" or "In review"?
To ensure steady and continuous progress, our team is always actively working on three of your requests at a time. The moment one removal is completed, we automatically begin the next available one from your queue. This system keeps your removals constantly moving forward while giving each case the expert attention it deserves.
In what order are my requests processed?
We process links in the order you submit them. Your oldest requests are always the first to be worked on.
What is the resolution time for a Custom Removal request?
Most removals are completed within 7–30 days, though some websites may take up to 60 days. To learn more, please read our dedicated article on Custom Removal resolution times.
Can members of the Incogni Family Unlimited plan use Custom Removals?
Yes, both the admin and all members of the Incogni Family Unlimited plan have access to the Custom Removals feature in their dashboards. Each user can submit an unlimited number of links for removal.
